Message from Scott Rich, Chief of Schools

Sherman families,

I have an important administrative announcement for next school year.

Principal Frazier has accepted the position of principal at Mann Elementary School and will be leaving Sherman at the end of the school year. I am grateful for her care and dedication to the Sherman students, staff, and community.

I’m happy to share that Kristeanna Devenuti, the current principal at Northeast Tacoma Elementary School, has been selected as the new principal, effective July 1.

Ms. Devenuti has been with the district since 2013 and has served as the principal at Northeast Tacoma Elementary for 5 years. Prior to this, she held the positions of assistant principal and dean of students at DeLong Elementary.

I know Principal Frazier will work with Ms. Devenuti to ensure a smooth transition for students, staff, and families. Please join me in welcoming Ms. Devenuti to the Sherman community.
